Turnaround Arts program kicks off in Richmond at Woodville Elementary School
Richmond Times-Dispatch…Dan Zanes and Claudia Eliaza stood on the steps of an elevated stage in Woodville Elementary School and began to speed up their song.
Students, antsy before the start of Thanksgiving vacation, were below them, doing the knee-slapping and high-five motions the two musicians instructed them to do. They spun around and laughed as they got dizzy and missed their high-fives.At the end of the song, Principal Shannon Washington joked that the students would be singing the children’s song for the rest of the day.
