Goldberg’s range of achievements includes producing and starring in August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom in 2003, and starring in iconic films such as Corrina Corrina, Ghosts of Mississippi, and the legendary The Color Purple, for which she received her first Oscar nomination for Best Actress. Goldberg won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Ghost. Since 2007, she has been the moderator of the daytime television talk show, The View, for which she won a Daytime Emmy in 2009.

Equally well-known for her humanitarian efforts, Goldberg is a member of Comic Relief USA, a charity organization that raises money for those who are homeless and in need of health care assistance. It began in 1986 and was hosted by Whoopi Goldberg, Billy Crystal, and the late Robin Williams.

As a Turnaround Artist, Goldberg will be working with Barton Elementary School in San Bernardino, CA.
